  • Sunday, March 3rd:
    • Arrive in at 14:30 p.m. in NRT
    • Asakusa (aka Senso-Ji, Tokyo's best temple). Sightseeing. Half-day. Northeast of city center, but not too far. In Taito City.
  • Monday, March 4th:
    • Kichijoji road, window shop and get early lunch before museum (Harmonica Yokocho, the Diagon Alley of Japan. Shopping, eating, also Jonah's rec)
    • Ghibli museum. 1000 yen for adults. Free for kids under 3. Open 10-6 every day except Tuesday. West of city center, moderately far.
  • Tuesday, March 5th:
    • Hakone full day. Southwest of Tokyo, fairly far. https://tenzan.jp
    • Shinjuku gyoen (2-3 hrs), the best Meiji garden. Sightseeing, picnic dinner around sunset, maybe see cherry blossoms. West of city center, very close.

  • Koganeyu, a more low-key (and cheaper) Onsen type experience. Can buy tickets at vending maching for ~$3-4. Opens at 3:00 p.m., try to get there early.
  • Kabuki-za, single act ticket (about 60-90 minutes), can eat Bento in your seats (during intermission) and they have English headsets for translation. About 500 yen for single-act tickets which go on sale online the day before at noon. Full performance for March can be booked starting February 14th, 10 a.m. JST from 4000 yen. English audio guide is an additional 800, cash-only. Right downtown.
  • Strawberry picking in Chiba

  • Naomi flies HDN-CTS on 3/9, then CTS-NRT on 3/11 at 17:10 (JetStar), then NRT to SFO.
